The MACC is proud to announce the winners for this year’s Scholarships: Elizabeth Peterson & Parker Seely! We’re proud to be a part of their continuing journey of success and we look forward to watching their progress. Congratulations to these two bright stars of Moorcroft High School. All of us at the MACC and the entire community wish you nothing but the best!
Elizabeth Peterson
Elizabeth Peterson is the first recipient of this year’s scholarships. Daughter of Kari Peterson and Steve Peterson and Julae Peterson, she will be attending the University of Wyoming in the fall. Her plans are to go into elementary/special education.
“Lizzie” has been an active member of Moorcroft High School all 4 years she has attended and is a member of the National Honor Society, Student council, and played many sports. She has helped with the town clean-up, and as a member of the Squirrel Brigade has been active in improving our town.
Parker Seeley
Parker Seeley is also receiving one of our scholarships this year. Son of Todd and Robin Seeley, he will be attending Chadron State College where he will pursue a degree in Estates Law. Parker plans to return to Crook County with a goal of helping families keeping their ranches together.
While at MHS he played varsity football and wrestling and will be participating in the wrestling program at CSC. He volunteers as a USA wrestling coach, and referee and involved in the setting up of tournaments.
One of his quotes from his application is: “I do not think I could stress enough the importance of community involvement and lending a hand especially in a time of need.”
